CURRENT VACANCIES

5-Axis CNC Programmer, Setter/Operator
Full-Time | Permanent

If you take pride in machining complex 5-axis components to exceptional standards and want to work in an environment where quality genuinely comes before convenience this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

We are not a conventional machine shop. Our work supports the Performance Automotive, Motorsport and Defence sectors, manufacturing complex multi-axis components, precision turned parts, prototype developments and short production runs. From one-off R&D pieces to repeatable low volume batches, every component is produced to exacting standards of accuracy, finish and on time delivery.

Alongside subcontract precision manufacturing, we operate an in-house design department and develop our own performance product brands. Projects move from concept, to CAD, to CAM, to final production all under one roof.

This creates a technically engaging, fast moving and highly accountable engineering environment.

The Working Environment

Our workshop is modern, exceptionally clean and highly organised.
We operate Mazak and HAAS machinery, programmed using Hypermill CAM software.
As a small but critical team, each member plays an important role in maintaining our standards, efficiency and reputation.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Work primarily with Mazak and HAAS equipment.
  • Programme using Hypermill CAM software (users of Simens Nx also considered).
  • Confidently prove and optimise programmes.
  • Confident setting and operating a range of 3,4 and 5 axis CNC machines.
  • Experience using a CMM and carrying out self-inspection.
  • Support short production runs and one-off development components.
  • Assist with CNC turning operations where required.

This position offers broader responsibility than a typical CNC Programmer, setter/operator role. The successful candidate will also contribute to:

  • Scheduling and workflow coordination.
  • Assisting with Prototype and R&D development work.
  • Continuous process improvement.
  • Maintaining high standards of finish and delivery.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and understands the importance of detail, efficiency and teamwork within a precision environment.

 Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in 5-axis CNC milling
  • Knowledge of CNC turning (advantageous)
  • Experience proving programmes independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and component finish.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • We are seeking an individual who is equally comfortable collaborating within a team structure and taking full ownership of tasks independently.
  • Interest in Automotive / Motorsport considered a strong advantage.

Job Term

Full time / permanent position.

Pay

£37,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.

Benefits

  • Company pension
  • Company Events
  • 23 days paid holiday plus statutory bank/public holidays
  • Working hours:
    Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm

Location

Hinckley LE9 8JD
