After everyone arrived, the event kicked off with introductions from the team, where each member of staff shared a little about
their background and extensive experience across the automotive aftermarket, design and manufacturing industries. From product development and engineering through to manufacturing and vehicle modification, it was a great chance for members to put names to faces and learn more about the people behind the brand.
One of the highlights of the day followed shortly after, as a trolley loaded with brand new products, development parts and rapid prototypes was rolled into the room. Tim and Nick (we were going to wheel him out in a box as well #witb), then talked members through what the next 3-4 months of the 09D product roadmap currently looks like, discussing upcoming releases, ideas in development and the thought process behind them.
More importantly though, this was a genuine opportunity for CLUB909 members to have their input.
Throughout the session, members were encouraged to share feedback, discuss ideas, comment on prototypes being passed around and talk openly about what products, upgrades or options they’d love to see added to the line-up in the future. These conversations are incredibly valuable to us, because they help shape the direction of future products and ensure we continue developing upgrades that enthusiasts genuinely want.
For those who hadn’t visited before, the afternoon also included a tour of both the design offices and manufacturing facility - giving members an insight into the journey from initial concept through to finished product. Seeing ideas move from sketches and CAD designs into physical components ready for customer cars always makes for an interesting part of the visit and reinforces the amount of work, testing and development that goes into every product we produce (more often than not in-house).
